I seem fated to lose reception on my phone just minutes before eBay auctions are up but, after a few near-misses, I finally won a set of second edition Blood Bowl Skaven. The third edition Skaven are well-sculpted, arguably better than the second edition miniatures, but they're far too tall for my liking and too 'Warhammer', lacking the slightly silly American football aesthetics of their second edition counterparts. Here are couple of shots of the miniatures, based but unpainted:
I still have to acquire two second edition blitzers and one more lineman, so two third edition blitzers and Rasta Tailspike are filling in for now. Hopefully I can fill these gaps without having to re-mortgage my home!
